BLOOMSBURG-- Jamie Vanartsdalen (Huntingdon Valley/Lower Moreland) scored two goals and had two assists to lead Bloomsburg University to an 8-0 win over Philadelphia University on Sunday afternoon.

It took Bloomsburg over nine minutes to get its first goal, but that opened the flood-gates for the Huskies. Samantha Kropa (Tunkhannock/Lackawanna Trail) got the Huskies on the board at the 9:24 mark of the first half on an assist from Vanartsdalen. That was the first of four goals in a four minute span for Bloomsburg. Brieann Wolfe (Perkasie/Pennridge) followed less than two minutes later with Vanartsdalen getting her second assist.

Vanartsdalen then followed less than a minute later with a goal for a 3-0 Bloomsburg lead. The Huskies capped the scoring flurry with a goal by Maggey Bloskey (Danville/Danville) with the assist to Chelsea Due (Pen Argyl/Pen Argyl).

Later in the period Bloomsburg made it 5-0 when Breanne Tobin (Perkasie/Pennridge) scored unassisted, then put number six on the board with a goal by Erin Hench (Loysville/West Perry) with Whitney Miller (Lancaster/Penn Manor) scoring. The seventh goal of the first half came from the stick of Aubrey Carman (Dallastown/Dallastown) with Ashley Miller (Shermans Dale/West Perry) getting an assist.

Vanartsdalen ended the scoring for the Huskies with a goal with less than two and a half minutes to play.

The eight goals scored by the Huskies puts their season total at 132 tying the NCAA Division II record they set last year.

Bloomsburg, 17-1, will play at Mansfield on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
